3D Wiper Lift – The Solution for Campers and Pick-Ups Parked Under Trees

1. The Problem
Hello everyone! Today, I want to show you a model I created to solve a common issue for those, like me, who frequently park under trees. Wipers often get filled with leaves, twigs, and other debris, especially in autumn when falling leaves clog up the wipers and dirty the windshield. I was looking for a practical, lightweight, and easy-to-use solution – and I found it with this 3D model!

2. The Idea
This model is a small device that holds the wipers up while the vehicle is parked, preventing leaves and twigs from getting wedged between the wipers and windshield. But there’s more: if you forget to remove it and turn on the wipers, the support allows them to automatically “drop” back down onto the windshield without any issues.

3. Development Process
Achieving this result took time – I went through several prototypes to perfect the shape and movement. I experimented with various designs, making small adjustments to find the right balance between practicality and safety.

4. Materials
I chose transparent PETG for the material, as it’s weather-resistant and blends well with the vehicle’s look. The transparency makes it nearly invisible when in place, yet it performs its job perfectly. Due to the printing position, the hole for the pin may not be completely precise, so I recommend refining it with a 9 mm drill bit.

5. Functionality and Safety
The model is safe to use: it only keeps the wipers elevated when necessary, and the moment you activate the wipers, it allows them to automatically lower back onto the windshield. This prevents any risk of leaving them in an elevated position or causing accidental damage.

6. Feedback and Ideas for Improvements
I’m quite satisfied with the result, but I’m always open to new ideas and enhancements! Any suggestions or feedback are welcome, especially if they can make the model even more versatile or effective.
