Knob Lock for Samsung Oven

Our oven was affected by the recent (Aug 2024) Samsung Oven Range recall. Details here:

Although Samsung offered range knob cover ( https://www.samsung.com/us/support/range-knob-kit/ ), the covers we got for this issue appear to have been designed by an inexperienced engineer. Or, Samsung just didn't care about actual functionality of the covers because they don't work well and look ugly.

I designed these as locks as a magnetic option for our house. They fit the knobs snug and snap flush with the range geometry (provided you have an angled range front like ours pictured above). They cover the knob to reduce accidental pushes, and the angle of the lock reduces the chance of accidental rotation.

Please note: Although I am personally using this in my house as replacements to the official Samsung option, I do not guarantee that these will work for your oven or with the magnets you choose. Please use at your own risk!

These do require 6x3mm magnets (x4) to work. I have linked the Maker's Supply option below, but I personally used these:
