Description
Kagami mochi is a traditional Japanese New Year decoration consisting of two round rice cakes stacked on top of each other with a citrus fruit on top. The mochi symbolize the past and present, while the fruit represents longevity and prosperity. On January 11th, during Kagami Biraki, the mochi is broken and eaten to signify breaking away from the old year and welcoming the new, fostering family togetherness and spiritual renewal.
Prints in almost one piece- the eyes and mouth are separated out and press fit in without glue, so there is almost no AMS waste.
