Description
The Z-axis screw often collides when it is pulled out and put into the print plate, causing damage to the screw gear and scratches on the print plate, so I designed this elegant protective cover. It protects the screw and also protects the top of the Z-axis from dust, killing two birds with one stone. Looks cool? Try printing it now!
( I am challenging to create 100 practical models. Follow me to get update reminders. )
1. First, insert one end of the model's long handle into the Z-axis plastic bracket.
2. Then press the end away from you until a "click" sound is heard, indicating that it is fastened.
3. Important: Use your fingers to push the model to the end towards the printer wall (to avoid collision with the hot bed).
In order to balance the simplicity and practicality of the overall design, this model has been iterated for 3 versions, and it was finally launched after dozens of printing tests. The purpose is to hope that it can be as visually coordinated as possible when installed on the printer.
You may have noticed why the protective cover of the model is not extended to the bottom of the printer. On the one hand, it is because this will increase the difficulty of printing (shaking leads to reduced quality) and increase your printing time. After a long period of testing, the current overall height of 175mm can meet the protection scenarios of most of the time, and it also becomes refreshing and natural visually.
Finally, I hope you like this model, thank you!
