Bath bomb making set: Sphere press. This 3 part press will form the spheres of the bath bombs.

I reccomend some post processing to help the sphere release. I coated the 2 sphere halves with XTC-3D to smooth the layer lines and reduce the hold the sphere was able to get. Not required but encouraged. If not coating, use the .1mm layer profile to minimize the layer lines giving the spheres a foot hold.

There are many recipes. Here is mine; it makes 1.1 2" sphere. A little extra for spillage.

16grams corn starch

17grams citric acid

20grams baking podwer

20grams Epsom salt

13-14grams of coconut oil

1mL of fragrance; tiral and error depending on fragrance/brand is needed

pigment; a wild card depending on brand/color so am not giving any specific guidance

Mix well until all dry and wet items form a crumbly mixture.

With this mixture I put one halve of the sphere press in the alignment tube and fill ⅔ of that halve sphere with pressed together material. I do the same for the other halve sphere. The remaining amount I pour into the tube, pick up the halve+tube in one hand, the other halve in the other hand, tilt to minimize spillage and press firmly together. Set the assembly on a table and keep pressing together. I twist the top and bottom while still in the tube and pressing together. Slide the tube up and off while holding the 2 halves against the table.

Separating the halves from the sphere is the hardest part. I have found one half pops off easy while the other sticks. The best method I have found to remove the stuck half is tapping vertically with a object (I use the fork I mix the ingredients with) while hovering very close over the drying rack. I tap with increasing force until the sphere falls into the drying rack.
