Here's my take on a Karambit Utility Knife!

This one is unique in that it is retractable and prints with no supports! It has a sleek, angular design, a push-lever to open the knife, and a small ridge on the top to make retracting the blade easier. Though honestly you can flick it open and shut without either as long as the screws aren't over tightened.

Required Hardware:

  • (2) 4mm M3 Hex Socket Screws for the blade
  • (4) 12mm M3 Hex Socket Screws for the arms
  • (4) M3 nuts for the arms
  • (8) 6mm x 2mm Neodymium magnets
  • (1) Utility Blade (Highly recommend ToughBuilt blades as they have a safety slot. Please use that print profile if using those blades)

Assembly

  1. Push 2 magnets into each of the 2 circular slots on the bottom of the knife body (the one with the finger loop). Make sure these have the same magnet orientation!
  2. Push 1 magnet into each of of the circular slots on the arms. Make sure these snap correctly to the knife body before you screw them in! The arms with the hexagonal openings are for the bottom side of the knife.
  3. Push the M3 nuts into the hexagonal shapes on the bottom arms.
  4. Place the M3 screws into the round slots on the end of the arms. Insert the screw ends into the knife body and screw them into the M3 nuts on the bottom side arms.
  5. Use the 2 shorter M3 screws to secure the blade.
  6. Tighten/Loosen the screws to allow free but secure movement.

This is super fun to flick around, just make sure that the blade screws are secure! I've noticed about half a millimeter of movement in the blade after excessively hard flicking but I've never had the blade fly out. Let me know if you would like me to add blade guard for extra safety though.
