Ice capades: The Frosty Slap Shot!

November 18, 2024
Description
This winter scene captures the playful spirit of the holidays with a snowy twist!
This snowman, crafted with rustic twig arms, is all set for a secret hockey practice. While the kids are cozied up at home, eagerly awaiting Santa's arrival, this snowman takes its chance to grab a hockey stick and try his skills on the ice.
How to Play
To make the snowman shoot, place one hand on the snowman's baseplate to keep him steady. With the other hand, use your thumb to press on the back of the snowman's scarf, which will twist his upper body and allows you to “charge up”. Release, and watch as the snowman takes his shot!
Spring installation
Place the spring (red) on the bottom part of the snowman. Take the white chest piece and place the square on the spring as shown in the picture. Turn the chest slightly clockwise until the guides fit into the counterparts of the bottom part and push it down. Let it go and it will snap back into its “idle” position.
Move it counter-clockwise and make sure that the chest part moves freely and without resistance.
Important!
All models are printed in Bambu Lab PETG HF, although PLA can be used for all parts except the spring, which is shown in red here for clarity. The spring specifically requires PETG due to the higher flexibility and reduced brittleness, whereas PLA would be too fragile for this part.
For added stability, I recommend gluing the hockey stick to the snowman’s chest to keep it securely in place during those action-packed shots. Additionally, any fitted parts, such as the goal and the snowman, should be glued to ensure durability.
