Description

If you are like me (probably aren't), you saw all the cardholders available and didn't fall in love with any of them. I wanted a low-profile profile, didn't take up much space, and allowed me to read the information on any card quickly. In my case, I have too many credit cards that never leave my desktop that I use for various purposes such as loyalty rewards, bonuses, business, etc. They were always stacked in my drawer or spread across the desk and I could never find the one I needed.

I designed this one to hold 7 cards, but the base can be modified to as many as you like. I am going to include the fusion source file below for anyone who wants to expand or reduce the number of inserts.

Printing Tips:

I used 40% infill on the base to give it bit more weight. For the inserts, I did manual slim tree supports on the bottom side of the round peg surfaces only. I also used brim on the inserts.

Credit:

Note, that the insert for my design was remixed from the nice design created by 3D Printy. I used the holder insert from 3D Printy and modified them to remove the back opening and holes for threading. I then added peg tabs on each end to allow them to articulate in a base that is my original design.

Assembly:

  • Add the inserts to the lower base
  • Add the top to the base around the inserts. Optionally you can glue it, though I elected not to as it fits good enough for my needs.
