Brick Wreath with LED dots

Take your holiday decor to the next level with this XL Brick Christmas Wreath—a festive fusion of brick-building fun and dazzling technology! 🎄✨

The branches are beautifully designed by the talented MagnumDanger, while my custom parts allow you to add a magical LED twist. With the popular WS2812b LED strips (or similar), this wreath can glow with your favorite colors or dance with mesmerizing animated patterns—all controlled by an ESP32 running WLED. Keep it classic with a warm glow or go wild with rainbow waves and sparkly effects—the possibilities are endless!

What You'll Need:

• 6 branches from MagnumDanger’s original design
• A WS2812b LED strip (or similar). In the sample photos, I used a strip with 144 LEDs per meter
• An ESP32 (or equivalent, like ESP12) board and power supply (for example a USB charger) for controlling the magic with WLED
• Some wires
• Basic soldering skills (don’t worry, it’s beginner-friendly if you follow the steps below).

How to Assemble:

1. Print all parts, including 6 branches. I'd suggest to print the branches in the traditional green color, and use a translucent PETG filament for the dots, wire guides and LED holders.
2. Cut 6 LED strips (maximum 60mm in length each) and solder them together—watch the arrow on the PCB for correct orientation!
3. Connect the first LED strip to your ESP32 board.
4. Flash the ESP32 with WLED software (easy setup at install.wled.me).
5. Pair WLED with your WiFi to unlock a galaxy of colors and effects.
6. Attach the strips to the wreath using the custom holders and wire guides (see the photos, the LED strips are wrapped around a holder, and inserted in a cylinder, everything is held in place with a plate) .
7. Plug it in, sit back, and watch jaws drop as your wreath becomes the life of the holiday party!
