🔘 Mechanical Tactile Fidget Slider
Looking for a satisfying "click" without the need for metal springs or complex hardware? This compact fidget slider uses a clever internal spring-lever design to provide a snappy, tactile response. It’s the perfect pocket-sized companion for focus or stress relief, engineered to be 100% 3D printed.
✨ Design Features
- Integrated Spring Mechanism: The internal arch and lever are designed into the geometry itself, providing a satisfying mechanical action.
- Hardware-Free: No screws, springs, or external elements are needed. Just print the two parts and slide them together.
- Minimalist & Slim: Its thin profile makes it an ideal Everyday Carry (EDC) item that fits perfectly in your pocket.
- Glue-Free Assembly: The parts are designed to stay together through precision fit, ensuring a mess-free project.
⚙️ Print Settings & Tips
- Material Selection: While the outer shell can be printed in any material, I highly recommend printing the inner part (with the arch and lever) in PETG. PETG provides the superior elasticity and fatigue resistance required for the mechanical "spring" to work reliably over time.
- Supports: 🚫 NO SUPPORTS REQUIRED! Both parts are optimized to print cleanly directly on the build plate.
- Infill & Walls: Use 3-4 wall loops for the inner part to ensure the lever is durable enough for thousands of clicks.
- Nozzle: Standard 0.4mm nozzle works great.
📖 How to Assemble
- Print: Use the provided profile, ensuring the inner part is PETG.
- Clean: Remove any brim or stray filament strings for a smooth slide.
- Break-in: Give it a few clicks to smooth out the sliding surfaces.
