Description

This is a mold for recycling 3D printing waste (PLA) to create a simple Christmas tree. It can recycle 21g of PLA at a time. It is recommended to print the mold using PETG-CF. (If you have experience with ASA and ABS printing, they are also excellent materials for making the mold, with minimal thermal deformation during use.)

Tools Needed:

  • Oven
  • 3M respirator
  • Silicone baking mat
  • 2 G-clamps
  • 1 M3 screw (used as an ejection pin)
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Hammer

Manufacturing Process:

  1. Place 21g of PLA into the oven and heat at 210°C for about 10 minutes.
  2. Clamp the mold tightly using the G-clamps.
  3. Pour the molten plastic into the mold and insert the piston. Apply firm pressure (or step on the piston) for about 20 seconds, then let it rest for 1 minute. Apply pressure again for 20 seconds to prevent defects caused by material shrinkage.

  4. After about 5 minutes, open the mold with a flathead screwdriver and use the M3 screw as an ejection pin to remove the part.
  5. Remove any excess material and sand the edges smooth.

 

 

这是一个回收3D打印废料(PLA)制作简易圣诞树的模具,它一次可以回收21g PLA。推荐使用PETG-CF打印模具。(如果你有ASA与ABS的打印经验,它们也非常适合制作模具,并且在使用过程中基本不产生热形变。)

 

需要的工具: 烤箱,3M防毒面罩,硅胶烤盘,G型夹(2个),M3 螺丝(1个,作为脱模顶针),平起子,锤子。

 

制作流程:

1,把21克PLA,放入烤箱,210℃加热约10分钟。

2,把模具用G型夹锁紧。

3,把熔化的塑料放入模具,插入活塞。用力按压或踩下活塞约20秒,静置约1分钟,用力按压或踩下活塞约20秒。(两次施加压力可以避免因材料收缩产生的缺陷)

4,约5分钟后,用平起子打开模具,并用M3螺丝作为顶针脱模。

5,去除毛边,用砂纸打磨
