Write anything you want on a pumpkin! I have seen similar ideas, but they didn't work in Bambu Studio so I took the time to make one that is easy to customize.
Great to use for fall decor, name cards for a Thanksgiving table, or even customize to work for Halloween!
How to update:
- Download and open the model in Bambu Studio
- Right click on the model and select the filament you want to use for the pumpkin
- Click “Objects” in the “Process” menu on the left
- Right click on the first “text_shape” and select “Edit Text”
- Change “Thankful” to whatever name / word you want
- To center, you may need to add a space or two before the word
- The text is anchored to a small extrusion in the center of the pumpkin shape, small enough that it doesn't print; This prevents strange behavior when clicking edit text or you needing to adjust text height / move down to be flush with the plate
- “text_shape” 2 and 3 are optional; these are stretched periods that you can use to ensure the “.” at the top of the “i” is connected to the model, and to connect any letters that don't touch because of the font. Think of them like supports to strengthen the text
- These will follow your base filament color, and print low so they are not noticeable
- Once your text is complete, select the full model and click “Color Painting” in the top menu
- Select color filament for text
- Tool Type - Height Range
- Start at the lowest point on the text that does not paint the pumpkin itself, then work your way up
- Copy and paste the model as many times as you want; note that once you rotate it, when you edit the text it will not have rotated with the pumpkin, so do all your text edits before squeezing them into corners of the print bed.
- Set parameters, slice, print!
