Flak Bunker IV, Hamburg

This is a 1/1000 scale model of the Flak Tower IV Heiligengeistfeld in Hamburg, built in 1942 by slave labour under the Nazi regime . During World War II, it was one of two huge Flak bunkers in Hamburg. On it’s roof, there was an Anti-Aircraft gun battery with four 12.8cm twin guns. The bunker has a footprint of 70m x 70m and is still standing today - but of course for peaceful uses without any guns. Over the last years, a hotel complex has been built on top of it.

The model lacks smaller details like the countless vent “windows“ in the walls, but still gives a good impression and might be ideal for small scale dioramas or similar uses.
