Crypto / Bitcoin Seed Phrase Stamp Jig

This is a jig I created for stamping your crypto currency seed phrases into washers to keep them safer in the event of a fire or flood.

 

This jig is made for ½" steel washers and is made to work in conjunction with a metal stamping kit. I used this 74 piece Metal Stamp Kit but you could use your own, as long as the stamps/punches are 6mmx6mm squares they will fit in the stamp jig.

 

You can turn this jig left to right to stamp your numbers and look through the window to find a blank space, or you can can lift and rotate the gear to get your letters perfectly spaced out.

 

To use the jig:

 

Obtain your seed phrase from your cold wallet. Note the order that the seed phrase is in and stamp each seed phrase word along with the number into your washer. As the below photo illustrates my #1 seed word would be “HODL”.

 

For convenience you can keep all 12 or 24 washers you use for this on a bolt with a nut and tuck it away somewhere safe.

 

I recommend using plated Steel washers which can be found at your local hardware store / Home Depot. I fire tested the steel plated 1/2 " washers I bought with my MAP torch. After 45 seconds of direct torch contact this is what my washer looked like:
