Lotus tealight fixture

Bambu Lab includes tea lights in its Black Friday gifts. This fixture is a stylish way to make use of them! The base is designed to hold the electric candles tightly, whilst still allowing you to turn them on and off easily.

 

Note: No AMS needed, since the base and flower are printed on separate plates

If you don't have the exact same candle lights:

Tea light dimensions: ⌀ ~25.9mm, h ~18.7mm

 

The design is based on the Lotus Temple (Baháʼí house of worship) in New Delhi.

 

Print settings flower:

I recommend printing the lotus flower itself using a 0.2mm nozzle (if you have one), because the thin overhangs at the top will be sharper, and the layer lines less obvious. I have also tested with 0.4mm, which also worked fine.

• Support 30° (The highest arches shouldn't need any support, just lower arches)
• 4 walls (prevents infill in shine-through regions)

Print settings base:

The default 0.4mm nozzle should work fine for the base.

• Top & bottom surface patterns: Archimedian
• Sparse infill: gyroid
• No infill (it will mess up the threads)

Assembly

I recommend gluing the flower onto the base. The other parts should all screw in place.
