Description

This can be printed in PLA, but it has a higher failure rate due to the extreme temps of the ejection charge.

I am currently working on different rocket types that will hopefully be more inclusive with less materials needed after printing.  Follow me to be notified when these models are posted!

This model rocket is design to fly on 1/2 A to C motors. There is also a capability to fly it as a two-stage rocket. Below are the open rocket models for both the single and two stage versions. This rocket should be able to fly on any A-C motor just fine, the only issue is delay charges. Shorter delay charges may cause the nose cone to eject before apogee. Please note that PAHT-CF was chosen to prevent melting of the rocket. It could possibly survive on PLA or ABS. At the bottom of the page is an example of how the rocket is put together along with how motor retention is done.

** I will update the page as I test more motors on this rocket.

Build:

While the picture is not fully up to date, the build is similar.  I have changed the glue points to be tiedowns.  There is a rod through the middle of the rocket, you tie one end of the shock to this rod and then tie the other end through the hole in the nose of the rocket.

Motor Retention:

Masking tape is put around the front end of the motor. I found that one single pass around the motor is enough to hold it in firmly. I need to use plyers to remove it.
