Decorate Your Own Christmas Tree!

Hi! This is a fun model. My daughter asked me to make her a tree she can decorate herself so i came up with this thing.

The idea is to print a base, a tree, some ornaments and a topper.

There are 2 bases to choose from.

The first is a fairy light base made for those cheap fairy lights you can find in pretty much any dollar store. its a string of lights connected to a AA battery pack and looks something like this:

The second variant of the base is for a simple tea light. NOT A REAL ONE! Electronic only. Do not put a real candle inside a 3D printed tree… please. Get something like this on amazon or a local dollar store.

For the toppers, print one, print both or design your own! I included a step file for making whatever toppers you'd like.

There is also a nice variaty of ornaments you can print. Use a bunch of different colors! It looks great and is a ton of fun.

If using the fairy lights, you can print caps as well. those just go over the lights and act as a diffuser.

The tree should be printed with variable layer height and precise wall option turned ON. There are some small features which may not print right otherwise.

Tree and ornaments need supports.
Any material should work fine.
I used hot glue for the lights so my kid couldnt mess with them. You may want to do the same.
