Snowflake Ornament Gift Box

This model is a gift box designed to be used for an ornament. There are many different gift boxes out there, but this one has a few key features:

• It is heavier than many others. The total filament usage is just under 200g. I wanted a box that felt like part of the gift and was something that could be reused or displayed. The walls are relatively thick (3mm) which gives the box a good weight.
• The top is flat which makes it easy to print with no assembly required. The lid slides onto the box and holds well with friction.

The inside of the box is 84mm x 84mm. The outside of the box (not including the snowflakes) is 90mm x 90mm. The snowflakes are outset by 1mm.

Print Settings

I recommend using the settings in the included 3mf file. I slowed down the print speed because of the outset snowflakes. If you choose not to use these settings, you will likely find the outside of the box has warped lines instead of a smooth finish. I recommend 100mm/s for the outer wall setting and 150mm/s for the inner wall setting with 3 wall loops.
