Description

This is a Cereal/Filament dry storage Box that was modified from the original at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4965407

It is also the dry box I commented on as in the works when I posted the dry box spool holder.

The Modification for this is just a simple 5mm extension of the height of the Desiccant holding container to hold more desiccant and raise the level that the spool sits at along with a door slit and key wedge to prevent accidental opening of the fill slide door.

With the complex shape and curves, it ended up being more challenging then I expected to alter and clean up for my developing skills.

The lid prints flat and then will need to be warmed in hot water as the original poster suggested, or I used a butane lighter stick to flame the groove to heat and then bend to the needed angle. Do not bend cold! The first bend I did ended up splitting in two.

The Stock holder accessories that fit the stock base or the extended base that is included in the main thingiverse profile is included in this remix also.

For the entire Desiccant and Spool holder You will only need two 608 bearings for either of the spool holder options

The below spool holder is a remix I did and a favorite to use in my dry boxes

This takes a bit more filament to print out, But I feel is easier to place and recover the spool when you need to transition from just storage to dry box printing to removal to print in your AMS.

For the Direct from Dry Box filament feed ports you can use these or others of your choosing.

These will require the M10 pnuematic connectors

Along with M3 screws to secure to dry box.

Boost MeIf you find these helpful during your Printing adventure. A boost would definitely be appreciated.
