This is an insert for the game Age of Steam Deluxe Edition and all expansion volumes currently available (Volumes 1 to 4) including the promo action tiles.
Important:
Compatible with the 2. edition with the inner box size of 380x305x75mm.
I could not find any inserts for the newer box size so I created my own.
About the design:
Stackable trays compatible with acrylic or cardboard rail tiles
Stackable player trays in 2 versions for trains or discs as ownership tokens
Tray for excess ownership tokens if using trains
Trays to keep all map specific pieces including the promo action tiles organized separately and by expansion volume
Sorter for quick setup of production cubes. Just move the cubes around randomly until they fall into the holes. Excess can go on the little holder to the side. Then remove sorter from the board.
Labeled trays for mini chips that fit into each other to be stored with the same lid
Puerto Rico/Jamaica map can be stacked with other base game maps for perfect fit
Space for future expansions (some trays only used as spacers)
About the print profile:
Tested for PLA on P1S 0.4 Nozzle and 0.2mm Layer height
Prepared for multi color prints. Tip: If you don't have an AMS you can modify the colored label bodies to be negatives instead.
Some trays need support. Settings for support and seam position is prepared for each individual part.
Trays for rail tiles looks great with PLA Matte but PLA Basic works better with acrylic tiles because of lower friction.
Curves and towns&crossings rail token trays: I have modified the token well depth so that all tokens sit flush when the tray is filled. This is to make sure that no token is missing when putting everything in the box. Due to the different heights of each well, this profile has more color changes than the standard trays.

Start with the Box and all the maps on one sideThen add all the stacked rail tiles tray including the cover. The map tile trays go right below it in two stacks. This will stack with the player trays.Add all 6 player trays stacked as shown.Cover the player trays and add the cube sorter on top of the maps.Dice and town trays fit on top of the cube sorter. Chip trays go as shown (here without cover).Add the last few trays (spacers and tray for excess player discs).Add the cube bag on top of the rail tray.Add the boards to finish the job.
Here is where all the map tiles go in the individual volume trays.
