Customizable INTERNAL Cardboard Spool Guard

A simple ring to protect the inside of cardboard spools

If you use AMS Lite like I do, cardboard spools can be a problem. I've solved this in the simplest way by designing a parametric model that allows you to print protective rings without complications. Just follow these steps!

 

Step 1

Measure the inner diameter of your spool.

Step 2

Measure the thickness of the cardboard on your spool.

Step 3

Enter these values in the "Customize" window.

Step 4

Download the file and save it to your computer.

Step 5

Go back to the previous page and click the "Open in Bambu Studio" button to load the print profile. Then, delete the existing part on the print bed (you only need the profile settings) you will replace it with your own file.

Step 6

Drag and drop your downloaded file onto the print bed in Bambu Studio. You’re now ready to print!
