Hello,
for those that don't know my ‘insert philosophy’ - I am creating modular inserts that are focused on reducing setup and space on table, filament consumption is not my highest priority, but of course I'm trying to save some material where I can.
Important Notes:
- My prints take a lot of time to print. Why? First of all, to save filament, electricity price is much lower than filament price (at least in my country). Second of all - total weight, if it's to high it can damage the box and our spines :D + weight also influence vertical storage, box can open by itself,
- Clearence for holder covers is very small - 0.2mm horizontal, make sure that you have calibrated printer. In worst case - you could add like 0.2-0.4mm to cover width in the slicer,
- Why I made this insert? Distilled insert is not bad… Well, it's not bad, it's good, but it's not great. I saw opportunity to drastically reduce setup and teardown and I decided to take it.
Supports:
- vertical storage,
- sleeves 70 micron - except largest cards, you could sleeve some of them, but I doubt that all will fit. I didn't want to sleeve them as sleeved cards don't fit in player boards,
- Africa & Middle East,
- Cask Strength,
- probably Promo Pack 1 will fit, but in Setup Holder.
This insert features:
- Cards_Alcohol_Flavor_Holder, Cards_Basic_Market_1, Cards_Basic_Market_2, Premium_Market_Holder - you don't need to sort them during the setup / teardown, just take the holders and put them on the table,
- Coins_Cubes_Holder_x2 - 2 holders for both coins and cubes,
- Tokens_Holder - for alcohol tokens, it's much smaller, so if you want - you could just put in on the table without taking out the tokens and putting them on the board (you could just put one of each on the board)
- Setup_Holder - for components needed mostly during setup.
Requirements:
- about 686g (depends on your settings, I printed with 15% gyroid infill, 2 walls, 5 top and 3 bottom layers),
- at least 227mm x 216mm print bed (rotate card holders 45deg).
Instructions:
Supports - no supports required.
- spacer - 3% infill, honeycomb, 4 walls, 0 top and bottom,
- every file ended with xX (for example x16) - print X times (in given example - 16 times).
What future holds :
- I know, I know, Cocktails expansion and Big Box is coming. Well… there is a lot of space left, that I could use to possibly fit Cocktails expansion into this box. That's my plan, because I don't want a big box for this game, my shelves have limited space. So if Cocktails won't be larger than the base game I think I will be able to fit it into this box, but time will tell, for now I can only promise that I will try. Most of the components however probably will be redesigned.
