Custom 3D-Printable Base Plate for Gravitrax Junior
When my niece received her Gravitrax Junior Starter Kit, her dad asked if there were any 3D-printable base plates available. I found one online and printed it, but it didn’t click into place properly.
To solve this, I borrowed an original piece and designed a near 1:1 replica. As you can see from the images, the result closely matches the original.
Printing Recommendations:
- Orientation: Print the piece upside-down for better adhesion and accuracy.
- Walls: Use 4 walls for added strength.
- Improvement: My initial print felt too flexible, so I added thickness to make it sturdier. It's now very close to the original while still saving print time and material.
Print Details:
- Weight: 33.42g
- Estimated Time: ~1 hour (based on Bambu Lab Studio)
If you're looking for a reliable and quick replacement for Gravitrax Junior, this design is a solid choice. Let me know how it works for you!
