Beyond the meadows, the mighty Bambu Tirith rises on the cliffs between a series of books. The mighty plastic city towers majestically high among the rocks dwarfing all who arrives to its gates, but still welcomes them. And at the top of the castle yard it grows. The bamboo tree. Whereupon not a single leaf remains, but a printer poop, as a glimmer of hope for new life. For one day the lord of the printers shall return. To bring prosperity, unnecessary fidget toys, a bit of fun and happiness to the world.

The castle I took inspiration from means a lot to me and many others. It represents hope and happiness, struggle and sorrow, a flight of thought to a fantastic world full of adventure, love and epic battles—something I like to daydream about. So come closer and take a look down among the streets and houses. With some imagination, you may see someone in a gray coat you recognize.Â
Â
I love computer games, books, fantasy, sci fi, Lord of the rings, geek stuff and 3d printers. Therefore, I immediately knew what I wanted to build for the castle competition. A castle-shaped book nook with a fantasy theme. A combination of my interests!Â
Â
This year was almost 10 years since I bought my first printer and started drawing 3D models. Time flies when you're having fun. I purchased my 2 Bambu´s a couple of months ago and they have relit my hobby! You could call it a kind of anniversary. This model is one of my most time-consuming yet. So I choose to call it my anniversary model :) I'm extremely proud of it <3
Â
I want to point out that this is just a tribute….  to Minas Tirith from Lord of the rings. An imaginary city named Bambu Tirith which resides in between a series of books. The name comes from the fact that I'm very impressed with Bamboo Labs printers which relit my hobby, and that the city houses a small printer poop on top. But use your imagination. It could be leaves. Either way, it brings a bit of humor into it. Call it fanart if you wish.
Even though this print is designed with FDM-technology in mind (no supports needed or steep overhangs) it is time-consuming. I therefore recommend using one of my premade profiles as they are tested and verified by myself. Prints this big are not worth experimenting with. As this model is rather big, be sure to have maximum bed adhesion available to avoid warping. Clean your bed before printing.
Â
But if you need to, or choose to slice yourself, please follow these guidlines.
I've made 2 premade profiles for 2 different sizes. The large one is what I intended the model to be. But I also made a smaller one that fits on the cute little A1 Minis.
