Amazon 4L Cereal Drybox Dispensers
In the land DownUnder, there's no end of cereal boxes from multiple manufacturers that don't quite fit a filament spool for one reason or another.
Happily, the budget ones from Amazon (These are the ones I ordered https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0BYD5K67Y ) fit every spool I've tried just fine. Sadly, they've been out of stock for a couple of months now (Dec 24).
UPDATE 2024.12.22: I have just received these (purchased 48 hours ago) and they're a perfect match. Currently in stock.

I wanted to not just store filament in them, but to be able to dispense as well. Taking inspiration from multiple sources, I designed this solution to my problems. This design has undergone many revisions and multiple kilometres of filament of many kinds served up through the ports.
In my testing with dried spools going in, the TPU port caps in place and ~100gm of silica in the bottom these containers hold sub-10% internal humidity for months.
The design stage of this predates Bambu's Maker's Supply so the the rollers mount on what bearings I could easily and cheaply find - Mini MR148-2RS Ball Bearings 8x14x4mm ( https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09JFW4F1Q ). If you want a version reworked to use the Maker's Supply bearings like MR128ZZ please let me know.
Included in the main body prints are drilling guides for both lid and front dispensing ports. These use 3mm and 10mm holes. Ports themselves are threaded to receive a PC4-M10 pneumatic fitting ( https://www.amazon.com.au/product/dp/B07HMDR2PD ) which lets you easily run Bowden tube from the drybox to the extruder intake (or wherever).
The dispensing ports have custom designed supports for clean overhangs and cleaner removal with a PLA interface.
The main body of the dispenser is sized to fit a Clariant® Humidity Indicator Card - 6 Spot I sourced from https://www.silicagel.com.au/humidity-indicator-cards/clariant-6spot-reversible
I print these in ASA and PETG. PETG is easier and kinder to the lungs. It's flexibility helps a bit as well when fitting the rollers into the pegs. ASA is convenient as I can just bung the whole assembly into my 85°C food dehydrator for a quick recharging session.
