Description
Based on the original Bionicle model, the Bohrok, I recreated the parts from scratch to be 3D printable. Not all parts are super detailed or accurate to the real counterparts, but the main goal was to make a functional model that looks (somewhat) like the original.
This particular model, with a black and grey color scheme and the shape of the hands, is based on the Nuhvok Bionicle. There are different models with different color schemes, so feel free to use whichever color you want.
The last 3 pictures above show a side-by-side comparison between my printed model and the original.
Print profile:
All the pieces are separated into different plates so each plate is a single color print. The black parts are split into 2 plates to reduce the printing time per plate, but you can move them around if you like them all on 1 plate.
I also recommend to keep all the setting/parameters as they are, unless you know what you are doing.
Assembly:
For the assembly, there is a separate PDF (with picture of my model only), or you can always use one of the original manuals like this:
https://rebrickable.com/instructions/8561-1/
There is a step to add a rubber band which is used to retract the head automatically after extending it, but it is not a necessity if you don't have one laying around.
If you encounter any issues, feel free to let me know so I can revise my model/parts if needed.
Have fun printing!
