StarCraft II Viking Fighter - transformable

This print project is a transformable toy inspired by StarCraft 2 Marine Unit - Viking. The project was an improvement of other's work which can be found at the link here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:598121.

I had done the below tweaking to the original work.

• Made 2 fin fold parts into 1.
• Changed the size of the joint and added additional support so the parts of the print not too loose like the original work.
• Put all parts into one plate so it can be printed in one go. 
• Added additional support to make sure the print will not fail.
• Changed the size of parts of the Gatling gun, so the super glue is not required for assembling Gatling guns.

To print:

It has been tested by my P1S. You can just follow the settings, or make you own configuration of print setting.

To assemble the Print Work:

- Tools and materials

• 2 paper clips - to be cut into pieces to make the pins to connect the parts.
• super glue - to secure the pins.
• cutting pliers - to cut the paper clip into the right size.
• long nosed pliers - to operate the page clip.
• craft knife - to cut off the printing support.

- Please check on the attached “Parts and Assemble Set” document for the name of each part and how the part assembles. The rocket_pod part and the pelvis part have the supports as in the design of part, those supports need to be cut off. The pictures of the parts after cutting off the supports can be found in the document.   

- Assemble steps and tips

      Tips: Safety first, do not hurt yourself when cutting off the paper clip. Test the work before put the supper glue to secure the pins. Some parts might need to cut a little bit to fit into the joints. The pin holes of the rocket_pod and Gatling are not large enough, those need to be enlarged by the paper clips. Do not let the super glue accidentally glue the moving parts together.

I am working on a version can be assembled by the pins printed, then there should no glue and pliers required.

      Assemble steps: 

1. Connect gattling_A, gattling_B, gattling_C, gattling_D and gattling_E together. The photo of the set can be found in the parts document. 
2. Assemble wings and fins with pins and connect the wings to body_rear with pins. The photo of the set can be found in the parts document.
3. Push both backbone and the body_mount parts in that order into the body_base. The photo of the set can be found in the parts document. DO NOT PUT glue on the backbone pin.
4. Connect cockpit_fins, cockpit and body_mount with pin. The photo of the set can be found in the parts document. 
5. Connect the Gatling to the rocket_pod and connect the Gatling and rocket_pod to the body_base with pin. The photo of the set can be found in the parts document. 
6. Connect the leg parts by using ball joints and connect the legs to the body. The photo of the set can be found in the parts document. 

How to transform:

• Unfold the legs
• Fold the fins on the wings
• Sweep back the wings
• Rotate and extend Gatling
• In one motion rotate rear (with the wings) and lower rocket-pods (with Gatling attached)
  push-back cockpit and lower attached frontal fins.
