Experience unmatched flexibility and functionality to elevate your projects to the next level.
Â
Key Features
Enhanced Material Surface Quality: Elevates materials 5mm off the honeycomb tray to reduce or eliminate flashback, significantly improving the finish of your project’s bottom surface.
Alignment Assistance: While not a substitute for a machined laser jig table, it improves datum repeatability, aiding in better product alignment.
Quick Adjustable Placement: The Final PEG Rail enables fast, adjustable positioning within your laser bed, allowing on-the-fly material raising for objects of varying sizes.
Â
Versatile Use Cases
The Final PEG Sled doubles as a standalone material hold-down or riser.
Additional Final PEG components can be 3D printed for use as standalone risers, offering greater flexibility.
Instructions
The Final PEG Laser Peg System delivers precision and flexibility for laser cutting and engraving setups. To ensure the best fit for your machine, this file includes a Peg Size Test that must be printed first to determine the appropriate plate for your use.
How to Use the Files
Start with Plate 1 (Peg Size Test): This plate contains test pegs in 10mm, 9mm, 8mm, and 7mm sizes. Each peg is labeled with its size on the bottom for easy identification.
Test for Fit: Print the test pegs and use them to determine the best size for your laser bed or specific application.
Select and Print the Correct Plate: Once you’ve identified your ideal peg size, print the corresponding plate:
Plate 2: 10mm Final PEG
Plate 3: 9mm Final PEG
Plate 4: 8mm Final PEG
Plate 5: 7mm Final PEG
What’s Included
Plate 1: Peg Size Test (10mm, 9mm, 8mm, 7mm)
Individual plates for Final PEG Laser Pegs in 10mm, 9mm, 8mm, and 7mm sizes
Assembly
The snap-fit design is engineered to provide a secure connection, ensuring the peg remains firmly attached to the sled or rail. For assembly:
Place the peg (flat side down) on a flat, smooth surface.
Press the rail or sled onto the peg until it clicks into place.
Alternatively, fit a 12mm deep socket over the peg shaft and press down firmly for a secure attachment.
How Do I Customize My Own Final PEG in Fusion 360?
You can now create a custom Final PEG to match the exact dimensions of your honeycomb tray! Need a taller one, a shorter one, or a slightly larger hole size? No problem—I’ve designed an easy-to-use Fusion 360 file that makes customizing your Final PEG simple and efficient. Best of all, since the rail, sled, and other components in this system use a standard snap-fit design integrated into the PEG, you won’t need to reprint those parts to fit your custom PEG. How cool is that?

Where to Start?
Start by printing the Test PEGs to see if a standard size fits your honeycomb without customization. If none of the standard sizes work, you can jump right in by downloading Autodesk Fusion 360 for personal use—it’s free!

Steps to Customize Your Final PEG in Fusion 360
Download Fusion 360: Install Fusion 360 and create an Autodesk account.
Download the Final PEG File:
Hover your mouse cursor over Download or Print.
Select Download STL to access the file.
Open the Fusion 360 File:
Open the file in Fusion 360.
Navigate to Modify > Change Parameters.
Adjust Parameters:
Honeycomb_Size: Set this to match the hole size in your honeycomb tray. Adding +0.4mm to the measured size improves the PEG's secure fit.
PEG_Height: Set the desired height for the shaft (not the entire PEG). No additional adjustments are needed for PEG_Height beyond your desired length.
Export the Custom PEG:
Go to Export > Name the File.
Choose your preferred format (STL or STEP) and export the file.
Prepare for 3D Printing:
Open the file in Bambu Studio.
Click Auto Orient to ensure the peg is positioned correctly for printing.
Right-click on the model and select Clone to print multiple copies as needed.
More to Come!
Stay tuned—additional adapters and extensions for the Final PEG are in development to further expand its functionality and versatility.
