Description

A nice jellyfish to illuminate your interior or children's room.

Led unit used is from makerssupply (KC020), battery powered and with remotecontrol.

You get 6 led units to play with. Be sure to check out my other models that use this unit!

After printing, cut the tentacles to the desired length with a knife or scissors.

Hold the tentacles upside down. Some will fall out of the bundle. Remove these loose ones by pulling them out.

(Due to the way the tentacles are printed (by bridging) some will have a very loose connection and break off easily. Removing these will prevent them from coming loose during use. Don't worry, there are so many you will barely notice the missing ones!)

Place the LED unit in the body and mount the tentacles by turning the bayonet fitting a quarter turn.

Attach a fishing line or other cord to the integrated attachment point in the top of the body and hang your Jellyfish as desired.

* tip (optional):

To allow the tentacles to swirl a bit, fill a highball glass with hot boiled water (± 1.5 cm or ½" below the rim of the glass).
Make sure you have mounted the tentacles on the body first (without the LED source) and place the tentacles in the hot water. The body prevents it from sinking too deeply.
Now let the water cool to room temperature before taking it out again. (do not remove the tentacles while it is still warm, otherwise they will stick together!). The tentacles now have a small swirl like in the pictures.
