Description
This is a tricky cutter/design. I have a couple of videos on window clings on my TPAB Instagram. My best tips are to have your clay on the thicker side, cut on a tile you can bake in the oven to avoid warping, and once baked and cool (PLEASE be sure you're baking correctly to get bendy clay) you can remove and trim up the excess clay on the design. Then using a very thin layer of liquid clay to paint the back of the window cling frame “glue” it back to the tile and bake again (probably like 10 minutes, just enough for the liquid clay to set). Once the tile is cool you can use clear liquid clay mixed with mica powders or colored liquid clay to fill in the spaces. You're shooting for a thin layer but not TOO thin. Bake again for 30 minutes, remove from tile and it should stick to the window! To clean just use cool water and soap to remove dust and it should retain its “stickiness”. My grandmother has had the ones in my example pics up on her storm door for over a year now with no issues!

👋 Hey, I’m Alex!
I’m a 26-year-old married mama of two, running The Crafty Clay Babes from home due to health limitations and caregiving needs. What started as a small clay earring shop (The Pudgy Art Bandit) has grown into a full-time business teaching makers how to 3D print their own clay tools. I recently transitioned fully to digital products — and I’m so thankful for this community that continues to support me.
I'm passionate about helping clay artists thrive!
