Description

Wanted to print some longer rails for my Little Badger so I could add grip panels and improve its ergonomics. I originally was just going to use the top rail design that's already on Thingiverse, but when I printed one I discovered the rails are not actual spec picatinny rails. So if you try to put something on them that occupies more than 1 slot they don't work. They also really weren't spec picatinny width on the slots either.

So I whipped up some spec 1913 rails for the Little Badger.

The side rail files are a couple slots longer than the stock rails to add a bit more length to the front grip area. Ive included 2 different files for the top rail, 1 is almost identical to the stock top rail, and the other has the added length to match the side rails.

All of these rails are slightly taller than the stock ones as well, again just to add a bit more room for panels and whatnot. Unfortunately I cant really get them tall enough to get Magpul XTM panels on all 3 sides without looking ridiculous on the gun. As it stands Ive got Magpul XTM on the sides and LaRue index clips on the bottom.

Its also worth noting that though I went through the trouble of designing a top rail I do not use a printed top rail and don't recommend doing so. Doesn't matter what you print in unless you cast it in aluminum the screws will eventually loosen as the plastic warps from compression stress and your optic/irons will lose their zero. You also likely couldn't tighten scope rings to the required specs on a plastic rail. At that the top rail is untested as I don't need it, I simply made it for those that care less than I.

Ive included files that can use both socket head and button head screws. I also made a dovetail top rail for it in case anyone has an optic that uses that mount.

Finally I have added taller versions of the rails. These taller versions are perfect height to add Magpul XTM grip panels to the rifle.
