Paper Towel Holder (Weighted!)

Paper towel holder based on @Bierpriester's update of @iviyan's model.

A recent tip I learned from Adam Savage is to print things at 100% infill to make them feel more substantial. While I love this idea, I'm also on a filament budget and like having my parts yesterday.

 

I've compromised and decided to make the paper towel holder base and stem hollow so one can add extra mass (e.g. sand, rocks, spare change, fishing weights, etc.).

 

I used sand as my weight medium. It works well enough but is very tricky to pour. If you go this route, tape off the threads in the base and have some patience. A foam swab was great for cleaning mating surfaces.
