Introducing the CFPS (Customizable Foldable Phone Stand)
I could not find a phone stand that would meet all the features / requirements that I had in mind (listed below), so here is my take. I hope you enjoy it! 😊
- Print in place: the stand with all its moving parts comes out fully functional from the print plate.
- Foldable: it can be folded and unfolded easily, and yet it will not fold/unfold by accident.
- Compact: when folded, it has a flat (6 mm thick) card-sized format.
- Adjustable: inclination can be set to seven different positions.
- Customizable: it comes in simple and customizable versions (more info below).
Two versions: Simple or Customizable
- Simple version: a single print-in-place part, comes out fully assembled.
- Customizable version: consists of a main body and a customizable center plate.
- Regarding the center plate design, you can either:
- Choose a preset design, all printable in single or multi-color (with no need for AMS).
- Create your own!
- Consider adding a bit of glue to make sure the center plate stays in place.
Multicolor without AMS
This model is designed to be printable in multicolor even without an AMS. To do so, simply add a pause at the layer height where you want to swich colors. The printer will automatically stop there and wait. Unload previous color, load new one and resume your print!
