Description
This is a remix of the good “Screw-in Rods for spool rack or other uses” created by mateocray
https://makerworld.com/en/models/511997#profileId-428071
Â
I needed a smaller one to hold a curtain between two walls and the possibility to extend it to exactly fit the walls without losing the original strenght, so:
- Scaled to 75%: now the diametrer is 18.5mm (about 0.73")
- Added a 40mm rod (1.57")Â
- Added a 5mm bolt (0.2")
- Added a 10mm capÂ
- Added a joint with a thread on one side and a simple cylinder on the other side that fits the hole in the original model (not used, but can be useful)
Â
The 40mm male rod is used to connect two pipes with the female-screw. You need to insert two 5mm bolts and screw them tight to both sides of the pipes. Two TPU caps, one per side, give the grip to the wall.
Â
Printed everything with PLA except the two caps in TPU.
Wall loops 6, 25% infill, use low speed because the pipes are pretty tall, no supports.
Â
To fit the original size, scale to 1.333%
