Description
If you want a set of useful pliers that actually work and are properly designed for 3D print from the ground up, these are for you.
I was sick of seeing so many pliers that were just copies of existing metal ones and would break in the first use… so I decided to see if I could design a set with the specific outcome of being useful for using on soft materials like plastic and wood.
If printed in high strength material (I used PET-CF in my case) they are actually really strong and can be used for many tasks on soft materials. In PLA they are still really strong but have a bit of flex.
These are actually the same part printed twice as I thought it was a good design challenge to do this. They snap together and form a strong pivot (it takes a bit of force to get them together, I lay them on the floor, align the parts and stand on top).
I welcome any feedback on this design.
It was a bit of fun to do and I think I have made something unique.
It took quite a few prototypes to get it right as you can see here.
Let me know if you find it useful and any suggestions for improvements.
