Description
This is my project for a fully modular print plates holder. There are two main version of the plate holder, the first one is for A1 (not mini), P1 and X1 series printer plates, the second one is for the A1 mini, thus covering the whole Bambu Lab printers family.
The single module has place for up to seven print plates, but connecting two of them you get 15 places, and each other you have ads 8 places to the holder.
This has even an adapter to be used both vertically or horizontally on IKEA Skadis pegboard and inside one of the IKEA Kallax compartment (A1, P1 & X1 version only).
The first model is dedicate to large print plates for Bambu Lab's printers and is natively a tabletop holder.
The holder supports natively seven plates but has a eight place that will be created when connecting to another holder.
Measure are “standardized” between all my models.
It has a overall 125 millimeters span and is 40 millimeters depth.
On one side there are two special holes for making a strong connection with the IKEA Skadis vertical holder. You can use a M3x10 screw.
On the bottom there're four compartments to host half connector, the connectors and compartments are designed so that you can't connect them wrong.
Another useful feature is the two holes visible from top or bottom.
In the middle of the plate there are two 3 millimeters holes if you want to use screws M3x10 or longer screws to directly put them for example on a wall.
The holder for the A1 mini has a different profile but respects all the above specifications.
Holders have been designed to be connected for creating a single object with more space.
You will need two connectors to merge two holders.
Each connector has a passing hole for making a stronger connection using a M3x10 screw.
You can use directly the M3x10 screw to merge them.
Or you can use M3x6x4 nuts for an even stronger bond.
This accessory will allow you to put a holder on your IKEA Skadis pegboard while keeping the plates vertically.
Once mounted it will look like this.
And this is how it works.
This adapter allows you to put it while keeping plates horizontally.
Once mounted it will look like this.
And this is how it works.
This is basically the same adapter as above, but has a 20° degrees angle preventing heavier plates won't slip off.
Once mounted it will look like this.
And this is how it works.
This is only available for A1 (not mini), P1 and X1 series printer plates holder, and allows to use the same modular technique inside a compartment of an IKEA Kallax.
It's composed by two parts, the first one is the front part, you will need to print two (or multiple of two) of them and they will allow to smoothly insert the plates.
These have a middle hole to be screwed to the top of the compartment and connectors hole to be modular.
The second part is an adapter for the back of the compartments holding one or more holders horizontally aligned to the back of the compartments itself.
And can be easily be mounted.
To Salvo&Andrea and aqua3D for beta testing and helping me getting this project done correctly.
