LGT lightsaber chassis - Remix

A simple LGT/Xenopixel style lightsaber core perfect for your next project. It will hold your lightsaber LED, battery, speaker, and soundboard in a one-inch chassis that will drop into an LGT-style hilt. Oriented for speedy and strong print on all Bambu Labs machines. Printing horizontally allows for layer lines that run up and down the entire core–this is ideal for preventing cracks and separation while swinging your saber.

 

I remixed the model to reintroduce an approx 2.5mm screw hole which was essential for my project, as well as porting around the LED which is present on original LGT cores. This porting allows a little more flexibility and heat dissipation and I have not found it to negatively affect the print. 

 

PETG will be stronger and more heat resistant from hotter LED chips but it prints in PLA just fine. Please feel free to provide feedback and I will further optimize this model and print profiles.
