Articulating Snake with Dragon Pouch – Year of the Snake

As we step into the Year of the Snake, I wanted to create something playful and meaningful for this exciting challenge! Meet my articulating (Flexi) snake, designed to wiggle and move with ease, and his special dragon pouch, a nod to last year’s Year of the Dragon. The idea? The snake emerges from the pouch, symbolizing the transition to this year's zodiac while celebrating the wisdom, grace, and rebirth that snakes represent.

This project is extra special to me because it’s actually my very first flexi print! Designing it was such a fun learning experience, and I’m already excited to explore more flexi ideas in the future.

The pouch features a dragon design to honor the connection between the two zodiac years, and when the snake peeks its head out of the pouch, it’s like it’s saying, “I’m here for 2025!”

The entire project is easy to print without supports, and the snake can be customized to your liking—paint its eyes with marker pens for a fun personal touch. It’s also fully scalable, so you can create a tiny companion or a giant, slithery showpiece. The snake even fits snugly in the pouch, perfect for a little surprise moment when its head pops out!
