IKEA Ivar holder for studio lighting standard

I’m excited to share my latest design: a custom hook for the IKEA Ivar cabinet! 🛠️✨

This hook is designed to slide over the horizontal bars in the Ivar cabinet, making it perfect for organizing items like my studio lamp tripod. The hook has a 13mm inner spacing, allowing it to hold similar-sized objects such as smaller tripods or round items.

The horizontal bars in my Ivar cabinet are 10mm thick, but IKEA's tolerances may vary. Depending on your cabinet, the hook might fit a bit looser or require a little effort to slide on.

I printed the hook in Bambulab Matte PLA Charcoal Black, and its overall dimensions are 24mm (Width) x 45mm (Height) x 48mm (Depth). While I haven’t tested its full weight capacity, it seems sturdy enough to hold a few kilos. My studio lamp tripod, which weighs 920 grams, is supported with ease.
