Description
I needed some toy trombones as props for a pantomime. I found a model, but it needed some changes to allow for printing on a Bambu Lab A1 Mini, and to strengthen certain parts that would be weaker due to scaling of the print. I have printed them successfully in PLA and PETG. The whole trombone can be printed in one plate. The non-sliding parts can then be glued with Superglue. Just a fun and colourful item based on a real instrument (Soprano Trombone) but probably not playable in any meaningful way in this version!
13 Oct 2025: Adjusted print profile as there is potential for clashing of supports and the mouthpiece - moved the mouthpiece on the plate to avoid this.
19 Oct 2025: After some feedback that "It doesn’t work", I've today printed the model in a Generic White PLA (see photos) from the 3MF above without changing any settings, so I'm satisfied that it does print correctly. As noted above, probably not playable in any meaningful way, though others seems to have been able to play it from their comments.
