Get yourself an eye catcher for your work desk, corner table or just sitting on a shelf.

This is my take on a Newton`s Cradle, and its functioning as good as you can expect from plastic printed marbles.

When assembling the marbles, i added an air rifle shot as extra weight which made quite a difference in energy storage.

Everything except strings are printable. I found when trying out different versions online, that the plastic printed strings didnt really give it the extra “touch” for placing on my office desk.

I used brown sewing thread, but im guessing white will be even better, just didnt have that at home for this assemble.

Colours i used for mine -

Base - PLA Basic Black

Rods - PLA Basic White

Marbles - PLA Galaxy Titanium (Black-/Purple with some glitter)

Rod Covers - PLA Basic White

Marble connector - PLA Basic White

Easy assemble;

Rods fits snug into base, i had to use a bit of force to get them into position (Design intended). Just be sure to add your force evenly, and straight so not to break them.

NB! Make sure to put them on the right side (each should have holes for thread pointing in 60 degree angle)

Marbles -
1. Place your thread through the center piece (See photo)

2. Slide the center piece into one side of the marble (See photo)

3. Assemble the 2 parts of marble together - use a drop of glue if needed (depends on printer tuning)

Marbles to the rods -

There is a hole in each bar position with 60 degree angle, thread through the hole on each side.

Tighten the thread evenly to position the marble and place a “Bar cover” to lock the thread in place.

TIP! - After threading through the hole, loop it around the rod once will make it easier to balance and lock in place.
