As a former plumber and generally handy person, I love tools. Combined with my interest in 3D printers, I can suddenly create my own tools or improve others'. In this case. Here is my version of a drilling dust collector! 

 

I have looked at what has been created before, appreciated by users, and combined the best of many models. The result is my over-engineered version. One thing that was very important for me was the ability to attach it to brick and tile walls in bathrooms with tape. Cause drilling tiles requires both hands. And this is possible with my version :) Another goal with my designs is to keep support to an absolut minimum. And in this case, I didn't need it at all.

 

Features:

• NO SUPPORT!
• Pet bottle compatible
• Extra cap for when not using a PET-bottle
• Dust to bottle flow lip so that no dust ends up in the threads
• Semi closed design with a “roof” to prevent dust from ending up outside the dust collector.
• 4 point grip system
• 1mm micro adjustment ruler for those last minute adjustments
• Surface for attaching to tile/brick walls with tape (perfect for plumbers)
• Hole for attaching a string and suction cup

• Hole for hanging on wall with needle. For a hands free minimal destructive method

   

Print instructions:

• If you use my premade profile you can just print and enjoy the model as I intended it to be.
• If you are slicing by yourself I do recommend keeping layer height under 0.2mm. Thicker layers may create too wide gaps between the layers which will result in dust built up. No support should be required for 0.2mm layers.
