Description

This Remix was designed to meet my size requirements and need of providing secondary particle and fume removal while maintaining interior temperature that a direct connected exhaust failed to achieve.

Rails have been altered to provide allow a smaller enclosure while providing added reinforced corner and joint connectors to provide a more robust and sturdy enclosure.  However non altered connected parts will still need to be handled with care during dry fitting and assembly. I'm not a big fan of the dove tails and the original dove connectors are a bit weak and are susceptible to breaking when lateral forces are applied before assembly with the panels.

This design is fully compatible with the original printed parts, The rails were cut and adjusting and merged within the slicer. So you can easily resize them splitting to parts and realigning. If you try to “SCALE” then it will distort the connectors and change the slot dimensions for your panel thickness. Ran into that myself when first trying to "right" size it for my needs.

I designed the added reinforced parts and bits due to being a little heavy handed while doing dry fittings measuring for my final panel sizes. The reinforced rear corner and supports were designed in Fusion 360.

I did include the door parts and hinges, Original Designer recommend printing the hinges in ASA

However,  I decided in the end to just slide rectangular magnets into a bare panel without a frame

to attach to the metal screws. That way a secondary hinged door isn't getting in the way and the entire panel can be then placed on the top of the enclosure when not needed or accessing the printer.

I will add links to addition downloads for accessory access panels, venting connection and exterior purge container as I get them prepped for upload.

I hope this helps a few of those concerned about Air management and keeping both yourself and your families a little safer from printing byproducts like VOC's and Microparticles.

This Build will need:

Various M3 screws and nuts

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D7VFK91G

M3-6 thru M3-20  kit

Qty will vary depending on how many additional supports you add to the original prints.

CA Glue may assist to help secure fasteners into sockets and for other potential used during assembly.

Green House Panels

You will need three 2'x4' panels to cut down to fit into your frame at current size.

if you decide to print it larger with more rail sections then you will need more panels.

For the 14 pack I spent about $60 for both security if I messed up any cuts and for experimentation and other projects. Currently they are a bit more. But I would expect them to be more affordable closure to spring.

They are .16" / 4mm thick so any panel material may work for your needs depending on what you have available in your area or budget.

UPDATE April 2025:  With the US Tariffs and spring season demand, the price since I bought the greenhouse panels have skyrocketed. the $60 I spent on the 14 pack, when I do a quick check on my past link is now $200  !!! OUCH !!!  I did change out the link to more affordable panels.  But I would still suggest to search around to see what materials you may be able to source in your local area.
