Smith and Wesson 617 10-shot speed loader

So you want a S&W 617 speed loader and you don't want to pay the $40 bucks for a firearm you use occasionally?  Or do you just want the satifaction of printing something useful?  Either way this is your project.  Simply print all 4 stl files with 100% infill.  You will need superglue, a M3 screw and nut, one spring and either an O-ring or a small spring as a retainer for the .22lr ammo.  I used a bent up Hornady LNL retaining spring (cut and reconnected by bending the ends), although I would have preferred a tighter garter spring.  See the pictures.  As a bonus I added a 10-shot loading block.  If you want a 90-shot loading block, gift me a couple of bucks and I'll send you the STL file for it! Enjoy! Instructions: 1. Clean parts up.  Make sure the .22lr fits into each of the 10 bases.  Clean up any loose fillament, etc. 2. Insert the shaft into the handle, and then the handle into the base. 3. Use the M3 screw to put through the shaft into the base and secure with the nut on the base.  Use superglue on the nut to ensure it will not come loose.  4. insert the compression spring into the shaft and make sure you have something handy that you can compress the handle for up to 10 minutes without moving (bench vise, clamp, etc.) 5. apply superglue on the cap and push it onto the top of the handle/spring.  Apply your compression device and let the glue dry.  6. If you use an O-Ring make sure lube it lightly.  If you are using a garter spring, just slip int in place as pictured. 7, Test it and have fun at the range...
