OpenRC Tractor model toy

There is a new OpenRC Tractor design on the block! Well, it is not actually RC controlled, it’s a replica of a replica! Video with the real OpenRC tractor HERE Since I released my OpenRC Tractor, I always wanted to design a smaller version (not radio-controlled). And now it’s finally here! A toy tractor, easy to print and very cool! Recently, my family gathered to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of my parents and I designed a smaller simpler version of my OpenRC Tractor for the occasion. The idea started because we wanted to give something to all attendees as a cool original gift to remember this special day. It made sense because the tractor is almost 50 years old too, like their marriage, and I thought it was a good way to remember that day. It was a bit of a challenge because I needed 30 models and each one needs about 10-12 hours printing time. But, thanks to my ZYYX+ 3D printer (which has 3 years now and it’s still working like a champ) everything worked out great and all my family and friends liked the gift very much. In addition, I printed (on paper) a personalized plate for the tractor. If your children or grandchildren love tractors, this design is quite easy to print and if you add the personalized license plate it’s going to be a win for sure! I really hope you like it! Special thanks to ZYYX Labs for sponsoring this project, their attention and support has been amazing!   Printing settings and materials You won’t need supports for any part, there are some built in supports in the chassis, where the steering goes, but they are quite easy to remove. Just bear in mind that tyres have to be printed with flexible or semi-flexible filament. To assemble, you’ll only need some screws and nylon washers, check out this BOM spreadsheet where you’ll find some instructions, list of materials and links to buy them.   BTW, I will upload a trailer replica too!
