Description

In 1955 in rural Kentucky, a pair of Great Horned Owls invaded a farm and the dozen or so human occupants reacted in fear, including shooting at the birds with firearms. Or technologically advanced beings from elsewhere in the universe somehow traversed the prohibitive distances between stars and attempted first contact with a fledgling spaceflight species (us) on a little blue planet in a backwoods corner of the galaxy. Or it's all just a made up story and that many people managed to appear convincingly terrified. Whatever happened, the witnesses reported silvery creatures with large heads, large ears each with a dark depression, huge glowing yellow eyes with white irises, and spindly legs, that levitated and reached out with their long arms and out of proportion large clawed hands. Multiple STLs are included in this upload so you may decide whether to print all in one and paint the result, or print in pieces in different filaments and glue together. The main model is very delicate and will require supports with enough space between support and model to prevent the limbs from breaking during support removal. Alternatively, if you have a dual extruder I strongly recommend PVA supports. The stand is designed to support the model's toroidal feet and mimic the shape of grass. The PDF details my hypothesis about how such a creature could be evolutionarily plausible, even if the actual sighting was mere owls or (as Project Bluebook claims) a hoax.
