Description
This is more about a technique than about the part itself. When prototyping lots of small things, failures are pretty messy because there can be many tiny pieces of cured material on the FEP film. The purpose of this roof is to avoid cleaning the printer if the part below it fails to print. Printing the roof will collect any mess that the failed part has left behind. I use this whenever I have doubt if the supports on a prototype are thick enough to successfully print (especially when scaling down models that include supports).
