They are one of many sacred beasts that gather Qi in their bodies, which can be absorbed by Qi cultivators. The Feilian typically manifest their power by manipulating the wind. Though they are usually calm and can even be approachable by select folk, they are powerful and intelligent beasts and do not suffer harassment or attacks. Xueren belonging to the Nan Tian Zhong (Heavenly Sect) seek to protect and ally with the Feilian, whereas the Yu Huo Zhong (Fiery Hell Sect) seek to hunt and kill them to harvest their Qi.This particular Feilian has been given some offerings of food and drink by friendly Xueren, and may bless them with a gift of Qi later on.
