Description
With this sculpt I've tryed to combine my usual sculpting process in a product design version of it. The ispiration came from A dragon head with its jaw wide open . Given it's my first "product design style" apart from the Octopus, I decided to create an object with two different functionalities: a small bowl for chocolate/fruit/etc. or an hanger for your jacket. For this second idea I had the precious help of my collegue Mark Ledwold , providing an optimized screw holder that I merged with my base for mounting on walls. The Zbrush workflow that I followed this time was similar for the other models that I made in the past months: - Reference image and plan the primary forms - fix the volume of the objects - add secondary forms: trym dynamic, move, standard, hpolish, dam standard, curve tube, form soft - keep a flat and clean base to add some contrast between the detailed part of the concept and the product idea of it - add details and fix some proportions - optimisation for printing free support This model can be printed without the supports need. However I tested the support needs on this objects and cura generated only couple of really thin supports that I clean by hand. As final experiment I bought a packet of Lindt chocolate to test the usability of the product (still can be printed on a larger scale like 15x15x20cm to have a bigger capability.
