They pump fresh air to the lower levels, maintaining the vital ductways and filter units, and control the flow of toxic fumes away from industry. They can even edit the components of the atmosphere at every level, crafting the air quality to their liking. They literally influence whether citizens can breathe, making them a vital and terrifying guild. The Draftshaper's job is to assess different locations, rationing their air supply and assessing the needs of industry. Part engineer and part enforcer - he has the power the suck the very oxygen from the air in a location using his Aerlings. These ugly bloated toads inflate with pure o2, starving the nearby people of breath, until the Guild tribute is paid. In contrast to this brutal treatment, he carries two balloons of the best quality air as gifts for the Stratos Guild's VIP patrons.
